Gloria Patri Singers

The Gloria Patri Singers is one of the most eminent church choirs in Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Quezon City. Founded in 2004 by Ghysevert D. Galon. As a church choir, the group’s mandate is to regularly serve the mass and make a diversity of choral music, performed to the highest standard, accessible to a growing number of parishioners and audiences.

To further enhance their skills and raise the bar of their musicality, the choir also embarked in representing the parish in choral festivals and national competitions and received high honors and recognitions in choral competitions such as VOICES, Paskong Himig Sa Pasig, Araneta Center’s Holiday Hymns, VIVERE Choir Competitions, Gospel Music Philippines, Musica FEUROPA, Binan City National Choral Competitions and SJB MOMCA’s Himig ng Kabataan Alay Kay Don Bosco. Some of their Championship Titles was at the 2016 Musikahan sa Tagum’s Himig Handog Choral Competition, the 2016 BSMA’s Bulacan Grand Choral Competition and the back to back championship title in the Saint John Bosco’s Himig ng Kabataan Alay Kay Don Bosco Choral Competition 2017 and 2018.

Pursuing their dream to perform in the international arena, they represented the Philippines in the 2017 A Voyage of Songs International Choral Competition in Tao Yuan, Taiwan and bagged top awards such as the JURY PRIZE AWARD, The Chamber Choir Category- Champion, The Chanson De Voyager Award and a Gold A Diploma in the Mixed Choir Category. The choir also joined the ranks of exemplary and carefully selected choirs of the 2019 and 2023 editions of the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater respectively and achieved a Silver Diploma in the Mixed Choir Category in the recently concluded edition.

Honing their skills through these experiences and the training and workshops given primarily by their conductor with the collaboration of other musicians in the choral society here in the Philippines, the choir shares their skills with other growing choral groups through workshop clinics.
