Kammerchor Manila

Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish, Quezon City

Kammerchor Manila is a non-profit choral organization founded in 1992. A three-time recipient of the Philippine National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ Ani ng Dangal Award, the choir has been established as one of the premier church choirs in the Philippines, having won several awards and recognitions from many prestigious national and international choral competitions. During the group's 5th European Competition and Concert Tour, they successfully bagged the Mixed Choir Category Prize at the 2023 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, UK, qualifying them for the Grand Prix Round where they were hailed as the 2023 Choir of the World. The streak did not end when they swept all the major titles in the 69th Certamen Internacional de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain, including the Best Conductor, First Prize in Habaneras, First Prize in Polyphony, First Prize in Habaneras and the Premio Excma. Diputación Provincial de Alicante (Highest Global Score in Habaneras and Polyphony). The group also emerged victorious during the 63rd edition of the same contest way back in 2017, where they took home the First Prize in Habaneras and Second Prize in Polyphony. In addition, they received first place in the Spiritual/Jazz/Pop Category and second place in the Folk Category at the 60th Seghizzi International Choral Competition in Gorizia, Italy, where they placed Third in the Grand Prix Round.


To add more to their achievements, Kammerchor Manila was declared the Grand Prix Winner of the 1st Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival in Florence, Italy. In 2021, the group clinched the Grand Prize of the Queen of the Adriatic Sea International Choral Festival and Competition (Virtual Edition) held in Cattolica in the province of Rimini, Italy. And in 2023, the ensemble was hailed as the Grand Champion of Musica FEUropa 14, one of the prestigious national choral competitions in the Philippines.


Currently through the musical direction of Mr. Anthony Go Villanueva, KM continues to share the gift of music and inspire people through regular mass services, concerts, and outreach programs, staying true to its pillar of “a commitment to excellence in music, friendship, and service to God.”
